The Senior Medicaid Product Owner is responsible for conveying product vision and roadmap to an Agile delivery team by defining user stories and prioritizing product backlog. The Senior Medicaid Product Owner work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

Responsibilities

The Senior Medicaid Product Owner maximizes value of product created by Agile team. Liaises with stakeholders and the development team ensuring the right product is being built, in the right order, within budget and by the deadline. Serves as the Agile team's primary contact for information, work prioritization, and decision-making. Monitors run project and production environment issues.

  • Provides timely and accurate information and status updates to functional leaders.
  • Will be responsible for identifying product gaps, defining product requirements.
  • Begins to influence department’s strategy.
  • Makes decisions on complex issues regarding technical approach for project components.

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ Yrs related experience in Product Ownership or Management
  • 4+ Yrs with agile development methodology including setting vision with agile team
  • 4+ years’ experience with writing user stories including intent, prioritization, acceptance criteria, and story approval
  • Experience with helping mature ideas and solutions to existing customer problems
  • Ability to represent a product and present on new strategies related to the development
  • Experience with prioritizing the agile team backlog
  • Experience with translating product managers’ strategies to tasks for development
  • Experience with helping mature ideas and solutions to existing customer problems
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills to achieve project goals
  • Experience with developing project roadmaps
  • Experience supporting the user acceptance testing (UAT) team, removing barriers

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Lean Certified / Six Sigma
  • Experience in Encounter Data Submissions
  • Experience in Medicare/Medicaid products
  • CAS
  • X12
  • SQL

Work-At-Home Requirements:

  • WAH requirements: Must have the ability to provide a high speed DSL or cable modem for a home office. Associates or contractors who live and work from home in the state of California will be provided payment for their internet expense.
  • A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 25×10 (25mpbs download x 10mpbs upload) is required.  
  • Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role.
  • A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information

As part of our hiring process for this opportunity, we will be using an exciting interviewing technology called HireVue to enhance our hiring and decision-making ability. HireVue allows us to quickly connect and gain valuable information for you pertaining to your relevant skills and experience at a time that is best for your schedule.
 
If you are selected, you will receive correspondence inviting you to participate in a HireVue assessment.  You will have a set of questions and you will provide responses to each question. You should anticipate this to take about 15 – 20 minutes. Your answers will be reviewed, and you will subsequently be informed if you will be moving forward to next round.
