The Member Relationship Marketing and Health Quality and Stars teams are focused on the well-being of our members, and we believe there’s a role for us to play as a well-being partner who will empower customers to live a life that’s healthy, active, and rewarding. We are looking for a Lead Product Owner who can successfully lead our agile marketing team as we develop and optimize marketing strategies to engage members, helping them improve their health behaviors.

Responsibilities

The Lead Product Owner will work side-by-side with our Stars and Marketing partners to identify and evaluate business opportunities for member engagement, develop data-driven strategies to meet those objectives, and monitor success so we can continuously improve our efforts.

Key Role Functions

  • Lead and coach members of a cross-functional, agile marketing team of strategists, data analysts, communication owners, and other partners to deliver against campaign outcomes and project milestones

  • Manage a portfolio of member engagement marketing projects and campaigns, identifying opportunities and prioritizing work that will lead to increased value creation.

  • Develop a long-term, strategic roadmap to help the agile pod mature, reduce cycle time and improve member experience

  • Develop data-driven marketing strategies as the result of analysis based on existing customer characteristics, historical campaign performance, and knowledge gathered from analytics and research

  • Build strong working relationships with business stakeholders in a matrixed environment, actively participating with line of business leaders to impact the revenue and growth dynamics of Humana’s businesses

  • Lead the pod’s understanding of marketing technology capabilities, adoption of Sales Force Marketing Cloud, and transition to member-centric campaign journeys

  • Develop long-term, strategic roadmap to outline data needs and integration with Humana data systems, enabling “always on” journeys

  • Use your problem-solving skills, be organized, and show attention to detail while managing multiple high-profile programs

  • Advise Stars and Marketing executives on high-level strategies that will have significant impact on Humana’s business results

Required Qualifications

  • 6 years of experience driving campaign response or lifecycle management through direct marketing or digital marketing

  • 3 or more years of experience with Stars, HEDIS or related clinical member engagement strategies

  • Demonstrated leadership ability

  • Experience optimizing marketing activities by leveraging analytics, conducting controlled tests, and applying insights to improve performance

  • Excellent planning and organizational skills with demonstrated ability to meet deadlines while implementing projects

  • Demonstrated ability to develop strategies that achieve business goals

  • Strong business acumen skills, including comfort with financial metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Clear and concise oral and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications, business or related field

  • Experience managing a team of direct reports

  • Experience working with clients to deliver solutions that meet their needs

  • Knowledge of healthcare, pharmacy and/or clinical concepts and conditions

Additional Information

To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees’ ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees must meet the following criteria:

  • At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested

  • Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership

  • Employees who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.

  • Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.

  • Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information
